  • Looks like a false end gate wagon

  • I don't remember that wagon, but I do remember Dad saying they hooked it up to something and the material self unloaded out the back.
Duke Dennimg wrote on Friday, April 06, 2018 (PDT):
  • The wagon had a chain winder pulling the false end gate back powered by a rachet drive system built into the silage blower you connected up each time for each wagon. We used a potato fork to hook down the silage bank to feed it evenly into the blower auger as the load came back eliminating spills and plugging up.

  • I have seen the potato fork concept being used too, hard work getting it in the silo, and hard work getting it out, if it's frozen.

  • That is some TALL corn.
Larry F McEver wrote on Tuesday, March 01, 2022 (PST):
  • I believe that would be Jackson 200-A, a heritage southern corn. The corn was white, and the kernels would have been Flint.
